Welcome to Shawarma Gourmet where aunthentic Mediterranean cuisine are their expertise! It was really overwhelming when I joined the invitation of the Cebu Blogger's Society last January 29, 2016. It was a real experience of Levantine-Street food.
Shawarma Gourmet just had their soft opening sometime this January. Located in Parkmall, Mandaue City, this promising restaurant is another spot for curious-food lovers and Middle-Eastern-dish enthusiasts.

"Beef Shawarma with Fries and Pickles and Tahini Dip" |
Pita Shawarma Bread in Beef with Tahini dip (a sesame seed paste), and Pita Shawarma Bread in Chicken with garlic dip coupled with pickles, tomatoes, onions and French Fries were already a delight. It was that original Shawarma preparation lived-out from the usual Shawarma wrap.

"Falafel" |
Falafel aroused my curiosity that until now I can't decide if I am addicted to it or not. It is another Middle Eastern dish of spiced mashed chickpeas or other pulses formed into balls or fritters and deep-fried. It has a strong taste and something that is not so friendly for the Filipino taste. Even though it has a uniquely different taste, it is best paired with chili paste or eggplant dip (baba ghanoush). Hummus is their staple dipping in the Middle East. It poses neutral taste which is made of chickpeas, as well. All of these authentic Middle Eastern dishes are prepared by Lebanese chefs in Shawarma Gourmet.

Shukran with the delicious dinner, Shawarma Gourmet. Double thumbs up and yeah, I loved their very own Shawarma Gourmet Iced Tea (specially made by them).
