Ramen Sora: "No Ramen. No Life."

I was supposed to be in a different place right now - eating different kind of food and having a different kind of appointment. But since I was stuck in the island doing something of great importance, I was not able to make it up on time. So, I made a diversion - another plan.

Because of the unconsumed GC's I still have since the Cebu Food Crawl last year, I made used of it and headed to Robinson's Galleria and decided to have my lunch at Ramen Sora. It was my first to eat out there so before stepping inside the Japanese restaurant, I asked one of the food servers if they accept GC's (silly me!). Getting an affirmation from her, I then chose my seat (even if she ushered me to another one) and had myself comfortable.
"Chashu Bowl, Ebi Tempura Roll and Deluxe Shio Ramen"
"Ramen" (eyes glitters like Naruto) is the staple food of Japanese just as rice for Filipinos. History states that uniquely prepared ramen was from Saporro, Hokkaido (Northerpart of Japan) which became an inspiration for the ramen chef for Ramen Sora.
"Ramen Sora's Interior"
Ramen Sora's interior was more masculine depicting black/brown wooden chairs. Red Japanese lanterns hang near the counter and because of the Sinulog festival, they also have "colorful banderitas" to go with the celebration. The food attendant was quick to hand me the menu and waited for minutes for me to finally decide what to eat.
"Ebi Tempura Roll"
Ebi Tempura Roll (6 pieces of them) was a delight for me. The shrimp was deep fried and crunchy with a tinge of spiciness wrapped with the seaweed and the rice topped with some crumbs. I also had myself a small bowl of Chashu Bowl (a marinated barbecue pork). I was a bit disappointed because I was imagining bigger slices of pork but then the slices appeared in-bits. The taste was still good.
To justify my visit to Ramen Sora, I had a Deluxe Shio Ramen (all by myself) - garnished with menma (bamboo shoots, egg and pork) and I was satisfied with their serving and the taste.

It was a great lunch for me!
