The Chocolate Chamber: A Perfect Sweet Treat!

One day, I found myself riding in a taxi together with a complete stranger. This stranger happened to be named as "Chris". We did not exchange personal information like cellular number and Facebook. What we only had in common was our destination. However, every time I thought of him these days, I found myself smiling because I found his voice cute and his accent sweet (he isn't Cebuano). When we talked about coffee shops, (good thing I joined the Cebu Food Crawl last November, 2015, I had an idea what to say) I diverted his idea to another place. Finally, he asked me about which shop should I recommend. "The Chocolate Chamber" instantly popped in my mind.
"Pure Chocolate Drink"
So, I am writing this article down for him to know about what to expect in "The Chocolate Chamber" and of course, for you readers, who want to enjoy the luscious taste of pure Philippine-made chocolates.

Located in the ground floor of Sarosa Hotel, Mabolo, The Chocolate Chamber trademarked its name by producing distinct chocolates made of pure cacao which are handcrafted to perfection by the owner herself, Ms. Raquel Choa.

The interior can make you fall in love. The classy look of the restaurant has an elegant feel specially when your drinks are served in ceramics (imagine a royalty tea-time). The staff and the owner were very accommodating and friendly. As part of the Cebu Food Crawl itinerary, she showed us how to make chocolates smooth using the traditional-style.
"Chocolate Pizza"
The menu are, of course, mostly chocolates - chocolate drinks, chocolate cookies, "Pan de Sal" with chocolate peanut butter, chocolate ensaymada and their is even chocolate tea. My favorite at that time was the vegetarian chocolate pizza and we were informed that they only produce ten (10) pizzas in a day. Aside from that, they also make chocolate cakes with just cacao powder and water (take note: without flour). The Chocolate Chamber is open from Monday to Saturday at 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Sundays at 10:00 A,M. - 7:00 P.M.
"Real Cacao Beans"
"The Philippine Chocolate has spirit, has life and has soul,"quoted Ms. Raquel. Her hand-crafted chocolates are palatial haven, indeed. And I am sure it is still the best place to reactivate ones. endorphin for a happy feel.
