The Cute Shop: A Spot for A Late Night Sugar Fix

"Everyone old and young is a kid again" in this petite patisserie located across Mactan Elementary School in Lapu-lapu City. Who would have thought that a confectioner shop offers delectable desserts for the passersby in an amazing way; and not only that, one could fall adorably in love with their relaxing ambiance.
"The catchphrase that caught my attention"
We just finished our dinner at a local barbecue corner when our taste buds were insatiably looking for something sweet. Well, a little rewind from the events, I just had my routine night jog and I was trying to break-free of my sugar cravings for the past days. However, when I received this invitation from my friends for a meet-up, I didn't hesitate to tag along.
"My little girl's tea party fantasy - charming!"
We walked a little from the barbecue house and decided to stop over for a dessert in a little shop which did not display its name. But looking through the clear picture window from the outside, the unobstructed view of pink interior caught our attention. I had been passing by in this confectioner shop so many times that at last, I had the chance to pay it a visit. There are two cute tables  and 2 pairs of yellow and pink chairs accompanied with yellow lighting that creates a subtle atmosphere.
"From the left: Me, Gie - my colleague, and Bernadette, the shop owner"
We went inside the shop anyway and were greeted by a kind shop owner who happened to be a chef working in one of an eponymous resort hotels in the city. We had a little chit chat with her and found out that the cute shop was conceptualized and put up together with her fellow chef for a chill-out place after work - the reason why the shop only opens at 3 P.M. and closes at 9 P.M.
"The sweet-tooth's heaven on earth"
We fixed ourselves with a mango float and peppermint tea. Moreover, I told her that I wanted to write something for the shop since I found it a great place for a solitude and for a pair to hang around. With a reciprocated approval, she handed us a freebie of sweet macaroons which I should say was a work of a real patisserie.
"Customized designs of these desserts"
As she told us, she worked in a 5-star resort hotel as a chef and she found baking as her passion. She also customizes cakes and cupcakes and anything related with your sweet-tooth addiction. We spent more than an hour in that cute shop and managed to have a refill of our peppermint tea for free. The kind shop owner was so accommodating that she did not really mind about our noise. Well, she also laughed with us.
"The peppermint tea that relaxed the senses."
Before we called it a night, they had this cute post-it board for comments. I simply wrote down "cute" with my name on cursive and my signature drawing of a girl with a halo (obvious depiction of an angel).

If you are up for unwinding your busy day and want to feel the solitude of being and still got the touch of the going-on's of the surrounding, I should say that this cute shop is a perfect rendezvous. As I put it into words, "it built a classic and trendy reputation for bringing a little girl's tea party fantasy to a big girl reality."
