"The sweetest thing I want to hear from you is the kind word you uttered for me." I always believe that being as diplomatic as you can makes every transaction sounds easier. A host can't be effective and will never stand out if all we could hear from her/him are green jokes and rather rough words. A debate isn't considered formal if one doesn't comply with the parliamentary set of words. A person could never be a triumphant speaker if he/she chooses words that will negate his/her persona.
"They maybe young but equally capable."
As to why this article makes it in my blog? It is the very reason that I want to spread awareness through words. This is the only way I can open up with the younger generation to speak from their kind heart and a thinking brain, entangled with compassion and self-respect.
"A memorable celebration"
It was 2016 when I was coined as "Miss A". I was the former Academic Coordinator of a baby school somewhere in the Northern part of Cebu Province. It was empowering for me to lead faculty and senior high school students to one common goal - to become better individuals to themselves and to others. After two years of living up with the mission, I left a legacy of both kindness and firmness.
The Miss A You Knew and Will Always Know
I always hear my students complimenting me how they are being motivated by my words. Given with the therapeutic communications skills from my Nursing profession and backed up with the Pedagogy of Teaching Children in Education, I slowly learned my craft. Being an influencer does not stop there. You need to know what kind of influence you want to share to the rest of the world. In my case, I chose to be a people-advocate.
"Encouraging the youth's participation in the society"
I treated these students with so much respect and my teachers as equally capable as me. I admire the students' talents and skills. Above all, I salute their determination to reach their goal. I weaved my speeches with the aim of being able to touch lives and form values they will live for the rest of their lives. I reached out to those students who were once branded as the black sheep. I never believed that you can never change a person's character. With the right and kind words, a heart made of stone will eventually be a loving one.
Of People-Advocate
I have two professions but I am not employed to one at the moment. I am jobless for the past two months. As for seeking employment, I still did not consider it at the very hour. I must admit that I need a greater recharge of my heart, mind and soul. In other words, this is the very time when I need a space for myself and be able to keep track of my hopes and dreams.
I am for people-advocate. I celebrate my former students' successes because I acknowledge their hard work. I rejoice to my former teachers' triumphs, as well, and where they are now in their goals in life. As for me, I will continue to be a people-advocate. That may my kind words reach through the very core of their heart. I was once their "Miss A" and forever, I will be their "Miss A" for the rest of this beautiful life.
