Agho Island and Bulubadiangan Island Give More Reasons to Love Life

I thought that giving a speech about love is as easy as I teach in front of my Biology class. Nonetheless, whenever people asked me about how I define love, I always had my tongue tied and seems like Ursula just cursed me of losing my voice. I can't define love spontaneously - never I would. But there is one thing in life I could spontaneously compare with love - travel.

Iloilo's Exquisite Isles
Agho Island and Bulubadiangan Island are new to me. Located in Concepcion, Iloilo, the two islets - Agho and Bulubadiangan are definitely two islands which are included in one's bucketlist. These two islands are intimately tucked in for a sole reason - an escape of a hassle and bustle work environment.
"The sandbar of Bulubadiangan Island is simply stunning."
"Enjoying this serene island all by myself."

Bulubadiangan Island laid down its beauty with a stretching meters of its powdery white sand, backdropped with a stunning view of a mountain. It also gives an overwhelming view of the sunrise and the sunset. I hugged the place as if I am ready to settle there for a long period of time.
"Agho Island shows off its powdery white sand."
"Agho Island offers another kind of beauty."

Agho Island, on the other hand, gave me a different impression. It has its own hidden gem. Aside from its stunning white sand and crystal clear water, it paves way to my inquisitive mind when I ventured its other side. The rock formation is awesome. A quarter of its island is made up of massive limestone karst. The waves on the other side is giving Agho Island a pure destinction of a naturally sculpted landscape.

In a Moment of Bliss
My visit of these two islands before I celebrated my 30th birthday flooded a lot of realization. There are more than a hundred reasons to be happy about even if one is single. But the most important thing of all is to fill one's heart with love and let it pour unconditionally to others - strangers, friends, and family. A heart that is willing to help and care.

How to Get There and Around:
Thanks to a blogger friend that I was able to travel for the first time in Iloilo (Agho Island and Bulubadiangan Island).
1. From Cebu, take an early bus ride to Tabuelan. Travel time is approximately 2 hours. Bus fare is at 115 pesos.
2. Take a habal-habal (motorbike) for Oceanjet at 50 pesos.
3. Oceanjet takes passengers going to Estancia at 4 -5am. Ferry ticket costs 600 pesos.
4. From Estancia, ask a tricycle driver to take you for Sara Terminal. Regular fare applies per passenger. 8 pesos at the time of travel.
5. Take a bus going to Sara. Bus fare is at 100 pesos.
6. Go directly to the Tourism Office and ask for island hopping package. It costs 2,500. You can either stay at Bulubadiangan Island (which I did) or go back to the mainland.
7. Bring water and food if you are planning to stay overnight.
8. Accommodation is also available in Bulubadiangan Island with a fee starting with 1,500. You can also rent a tent for 350 pesos.
9. Agho Island entrance fee is 50 pesos.
10. Environmental fee costs 60 pesos each.
