Right after I bid goodbye to Apol's relatives and Dino, I continued my journey towards Batac, Ilocos Norte. I would be joining my colleagues there who were also on tour. It only took less than 30 minutes from Laoag to Batac. I arrived minutes earlier before our meet up schedule so I took the privilege to get in the Ferdinand Marcos Presidential Center or the Marcos Museum and Mausoleum.
Honestly speaking, I don't want to mislead people about my stand on politics. Let history talk about it but as a travel blogger, I was amazed about the life of the former president even before he became one.
The Marcos Mausoleum was the last place I visited. The cameras aren't allowed inside the mausoleum. It was cold and eerie while a background music was playing. There lies the body of the former president. Later on 2016, it was transferred in Libingan ng mga Bayani.

4. The first floor is a souvenir shop and a viewing room while the 2nd floor is the museum covering the childhood days of Ferdinand Marcos until he became the President.
It was a quick tour for me before I met my colleagues and journeyed towards Paoay Church and Batac Sand Dunes.
I also have a quick city tour in Laoag prior this museum tour. Here is the story: Ilocos Norte Solo Travel: Laoag City Tour.

This photo shows the different medals of Ferdinand Marcos as it was told that he was one of the most decorated war hero in the Philippines. He was one of the soldiers who were part of the Bataan Death March on 1942.
I also had the chance to sit on this desk again. I could remember that we used this kind of desk during my elementary days. Back then, it was so big for me. Funny that it felt so small for me.
I have learned that the President's love affair with Imelda Marcos was an 11-day romance. However short the courtship was, their marriage survived the test of time and even up the president's last days.
Imelda Romualdez Marcos' collection of Filipiniana dresses. I couldn't remember a TV news where I couldn't see Imelda Marcos not wearing a Filipiniana.
These are special plates in Manila. I knew that the Plate Number 8 is something significant as it is a lucky number.
