Master Po: Little Place. Big Taste.

The Dragon Warrior, Po in Kung Panda, comes alive bringing with him his big appetite for delectable Chinese food here in Cebu. Master Po comes with big taste of different Chinese comfort food in totally generous servings.

Chicken Feet. This taster is for intrepid diners. The "phoenix claws" could be intimidating for others but this is a real labor of love. The chicken feet is deeply marinated as one can taste at every bite of those cartilage, bones and skin. The black beans, however popular as a flavoring in China, it is an acquired taste in the Philippines specially mixed with Filipino food. So gear on to this exotic Chinese-style Chicken Feet.
"Exotic but yummy!"
Beans with Minced Pork. Tender, and crisp, these beans keep their  fresh color and flavor while the minced pork is perfectly fried without being too oily. This cuisine is a great example of Sichuan cooking style technique - stir fried with sharp and chili taste.
"Sichuan recipe, here!"
Pansit Guisado and Singapore Bihon. Stir-fry mixes of veggies, mushroom, seafood and meat, Pansit Guisado has been a long time Filipino-Chinese ubiquitous inspiration. Master Po has it prepared simply - mild, garnished, and its noodles, firm.  On the other hand, I may not be a curry lover, but Singapore Bihon is a try for those palate who crave for something Eastern Mainland taste.

Sweet and Sour Fish. The thick sweet and sour sauce attributes to the freshwater Tilapia for this preparation. I, myself, isn't bothered for the fish used. Most Cebuanos aren't used of a freshwater fish for food, however, Master Po got this food prep differently delicious!

"Sweet and Sour Fish"
Basil Pork Skewer. These skewers don't need any sauce for a supplement. Tender, succulent and savory pork is already good for the bite. It makes me speechless with glittering eyes!

"This one is the bestseller!"
Minced Shrimp Kebabs. Skewed on a unique way (instead of using sticks, it uses lemongrass stalks), this kebab captured my heart, personally. It has an "umami" kick releasing its pleasant and savory shrimp flavor. Best dip with spicy vinegar.

"I heart this so much!"
Roasted Chicken. A stand-out! The chicken is deeply-marinated before it is roasted; thus, it's juicy and delicious to the bones, Soft, and flavorful meat which again, doesn't need any sauce to complete one dining experience. Surely, a perfect treat for a chicken-lover!

"Who needs a sauce for this?"
Banana Roll. These rolls may look like an ordinary Filipino dessert, "Turon" but these aren't the usual ones we taste in our school canteen. These banana rolls serve as appetizers. The sweet taste of banana is perfectly paired with the "umami" taste of the shrimp. A perfectly odd combination but it has an overall tasty flavor!
"Something is unique inside..."

Well, as Po says it, "I only eat when I am upset." But Master Po Restaurant can accommodate your appetite and your emotion. Eat when you are upset. Eat when you are happy. Eat when you celebrate. After all, food is the best comfort for both the stomach and the emotion. See you there! Xie, xie!
