Paparts Diner and Café: Tasty Food in a Pocket-Friendly Price

Diners and cafes are mushrooming in the urban sprawl of Mandaue. One that evidently stands out is Papart’s Diner and Café. Yes! You definitely got it right, it is the same Papart’s that introduced to us the famous, “Tuslob, Buwa”. Leaving that trademark behind in Liloan where they still serve the “bubbly and sizzling pork’s brain”, Papart’s deviates from their exotic eatery to a diner which offers authentic flavors of Asia catered for every Cebuano’s palate. Papart’s Diner and Café gets my nod when it comes to great tasting menu in a very reasonable price.
"With its feminine wall interior"
Cheesy Dynamite. Served in five pieces of delicately wrapped cheese rolls, these cheesy bites aren’t the usual appetizers we are so used of. These come with a dipping of spicy mayo that eventually explode deliciously in your palate. Munch it right after serving since it wouldn’t be that crispy and delicious when it is left for long.
Calamari in Vinegar and Onion Sauce. Forget the usual calamari dipped in a mayo. Here is one that sensually stimulates your appetite by diverging from the usual to something “inato” style of vinegar and onion dipping. The calamari we’ve known for when paired with this Cebuano sauce, releases a real tangy taste.
Brazilian Liempo. Who needs a dipping when the meat is already succulent and juicy? This Brazilian Liempo is a fusion of different spices which deliberately adds the flavorful taste of this Cebuano delicacy.
Sizzling Grilled Tangigue. I should consider this as of my favorite. As a fish lover, this Sizzling Grilled Tangigue excites my senses. Still served in bubbly sizzles, bringing in the aromatic smell of seasonings and spices, this meaty hunk of a fish is a must-try main dish.

Flying Chicken Wings. One should consider magic when trying on with this progressively-named meal. The flying chicken wings are tenderly great for the mouth. The wings are served with different sauces: Hot Arcadia, Sour Cream, Honey Soy Garlic and Mexican BBQ. May you be a chili lover like me, or a mild-taster, Papart’s just got the right flavor for you. By the way, it can come unlimited.
Fish and Chips. The filleted fish has a mayo dipping and it is partnered with chips (French fries). Another great appetizer while waiting for your main course.
Chicken Skin. Sinfully delicious and crispy chicken skin complemented with cucumber and spicy vinegar. Needless to say, this is totally not for someone who is following a diligent diet. But it is exciting to have it in your order if you happen to drop by in Papart’s. You had tried their “Tuslob, Buwa”, anyway.
Shrimp in Six Sauces. If you are a seafood lover, might as well add shrimp when dining in Papart’s Diner and Café. You can choose six different flavors like that of the flying chicken wings which goes well with these fairly cooked fresh shrimps.
Baked Scallops. Fresh from the market and baked until they are soft, these scallops are totally a great pick for you. The creamy buttered sauce is married perfectly with spices which is so friendly in the palate.
Crazed Nutella and Blissful Mango Shakes. Delight into these shakes adorned with our childhood favorites! The blissful mango is my personal fave. I also recommend the Crazed Nutella Shake for those who love sweets!

Talk about accessibility, reasonably-priced menu, and friendly staff, these are all in Papart’s Diner and Café.
